Hey, Tim I could use the resourse you talked about in the video… but I got beat to it by Larry, Hope all is going well and I know you just want to help the self esteem but leave all the female complimenting to Dana!
Julio
@Larry Darnell! I’d love to send you the book! Look for an email from me asking for your mailing address.
@Julio: Ya know, I’m not overly freaked out about that. I know what you’re saying, but I think it’s appropriate and healthy to complement teen girls occasionally. A lot of them NEED male approval because they don’t get it from their fathers at home. Obviously, I’m careful with the extent of it (it’s always in public where other people can hear it and I usually complement several at a time, not just pick one girl out from the crowd) and I certainly don’t do it every time I see them, but once in a while I think is good. Most of the encouragement, though, is definitely left to the female youth leaders.
hey tim, great podcast. i have plenty of resources so i won’t be needing the book you mentioned, but thanks! i just wanted to thank you for all you do for youth ministries everywhere. the podcasts are quick and “to the point” and they’re always relevant. i seriously listen to every podcast you guys do, and tune in for the discussions as well. i’m telling every youth minister i know about this website and these podcasts! thanks again.
@ Nolan: Thanks for for the encouragement, man! I appreciate it. Glad you find the site helpful for your ministry. God bless you for all you do for teenagers!
