Podcast: Evaluating the spiritual depth of our youth ministries

Posted on 06 September 2008 by Tim Schmoyer | Trackback link

In this week’s LIVE Youth Ministry Conversation we talked about how we can evaluate the spiritual depth of our youth ministries. We all want our youth ministry to take teenagers deep in the Word so that it changes their lives, but is that really happening in your group? Most youth workers tend to think that, “Yeah, my group goes pretty deep,” but then someone visits the group who has a totally different standard of what “deep” is and walks away with nothing.

The conversation went a different direction than you might expect, so be sure to listen to the whole thing below or grab it in iTunes.

Next Topic: Working with students who suffer from depression and eating disorders

September 12th: At least for now, this is our topic. Since I have no formal training in this area, I’m still searching for a professional Christian counselor to walk us through these issues. If you know of someone to recommend for it, contact me. Thanks!
