Freebie Friday #44: How to read your Bible teaching series

Posted on 26 October 2007 by Tim Schmoyer | Trackback link

Free youth ministry resources every FridayI love how Brett Hetherington always brings fresh, solid material to Life in Student Ministry readers. He is honestly a gold mine of excellent teaching resources for youth groups. I love his stuff! Be sure to check out his site and send him a great big thank you. Thanks for your heart for equipping kingdom, Brett!

Here’s a summary of his donation for you all:

The How To Read Your Bible Series is a 2-part series that is aimed at educating students how to read their Bible for all it is worth. It explores exegesis (reading the text according to the culture it was written into and the audience it was written for), hermeneutics (applying those principals learned from exegesis to contemporary living), Scripture that explains why the Bible is important, the different types of Bible translations and more. Great for leading up to a study on an Epistle, because part 2 dives into reading Epistles specifically.

Brett HetheringtonIncluded in this set:

What wonderful opportunities and mind expanding ideas and helps. We need ALL the help we can get to help our youth, who are so inundated by the world around them.. they can hardly swim… especially when they don’t have attentive parents.. YOU become their parents.
The main problem I see at this moment is the two living together without marriage.. Seems the norm, and adults consenting and contributing to it !! (They can blame economics or anything…) Make the marriage ceremony a farce.
We are so grateful for your and Dana’s concern for the youth of our land… WHO LEAD NOW!! not later..
