Dreaming of success in youth ministry

Posted on 18 October 2006 by Tim Schmoyer | Trackback link

Off the top of my head, I dream three things for youth ministry:

1. Students who are growing in depth and insight of God’s Word.
2. Students who genuinely worship God both publicly and privately.
3. Students who have a burden for lost souls around them.

I look at that list and think, “Hmmm, do I even measure up to that list personally?”

Good point. Sometimes I don’t even meet those goals! I find it interesting to hear how youth pastors lay out their goals for their students. It gives a little insight into their heart.

Yeah Ben, you’re right. I hadn’t even thought of it that way before. Those things really are the desire of my heart both for my ministry and my own life.
