I had great time with David, Adrienne, and Becca this weekend. Thanks for coming up to visit for the weekend and hear me “preach” on Sunday guys!
The sermon went okay, I guess. I was in charge of conducting the service, which turned out to be the harder task of the two. People just kept standing up and giving more and more announcments that were not scheduled with me beforehand. If I ever do it again, I am keeping my hands on that mic! It wasn’t that big of a deal, though — I just cut out the sharing part instead. Those people will just have to keep God’s work to themselves for a week.
Overall, I feel the sermon went well and that I communicated the lesson aim with some sort of clarity. I’m still trying to find out if it was recorded or not. There were like seven families on a cruise together last weekend, including the pastor and the sound guy. I dunno if the fill-in sound guy recorded the message or not. If he did, I’ll post the audio here. If he didn’t, then maybe I’ll just post my PowerPoint or notes or something, I dunno. We’ll see.
The rest of the weekend was fun. Lemme see if I can remember what we did…

The End

I think that about sums it all up! The weekend was such a blast and we all wish Tim lived a little closer than Dallas.
My favorite part of the weekend personally was the comedy club Tim treated us to (thanks again by the way). It was so funny and afterwards we got to walk around downtown Dallas and see some of the sights. Plus we watched this speed art guy make a really cool painting and I saw a enourmous sulcata tortoise just like the one David and I used to own (Tank). Well I guess I shouldn’t say that was my favorite because I also loves the concert we went to on Friday night in Fort Worth. I love Stephen Speaks music! But then again I guess my ultimate FAVORITE part of the weekend was becoming an aunt to dear little Ruby Ann. It’s so exciting to check the family site everyday for her new pictures. We also just had a good time sitting around talking about random stuff…and I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving. So Tim, when is this supposed ski trip going to take place? Ever since we talked about it I really have been wanting to go! We can teach Becca the ropes, she has never even seen snow before…crazy huh?! Anyways, the weekend was crazy fun and I can’t wait till Tim comes down for a visit.
All for now…

Ski trip… hmmm… we’ll have to see when the slopes open back home in PA. Or maybe take a trip to CO? That could get expensive, though, especially with David’s job situation. Maybe over Thankgiving? Then Dan and Maggie could come, too.

What a great time! Sounds like you hit all the high points, Tim! Good recap
The Dalls/Fort Worth area is great, I must admit I enjoyed the low humidity immensely. I had a great time seeing SS, going to the comedy show, seeing the Fighter Pilot movie (I’m still trying to get my bearings!), and hanging out!
Thanks again for having us, Tim!
Tim, you did a great job on Sunday, it was very well-prepared and you communicated what the Lord put on your heart fabulously!
I really enjoyed hanging out with you, Schmoyers! By the way, welcome to the world newest Schmoyer, Ruby Ann! Congratulations Dan and Maggie!
